Our Mission is to enhance the quality of life in Transylvania County by celebrating and nurturing the creative spirit of artists, youth and individuals throughout the County.

The Arts Council is pleased to announce the opening of its first exhibit of 2024, Inspired by a Song. A call to artists was previously issued, and it’s almost time for artists to submit their artwork.
For this exhibit, select a song that inspires you to create your art. Let your artwork illustrate the lyrics or depict the way the song makes you feel. The title of your art work must be (or include) the title of the song that inspired you. During the exhibition, a QR code will link to a playlist so that viewers can hear the music while viewing the exhibition.
Inspired by a Song will open on Friday, January 5, and run through Saturday, January 27. The Arts Council Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 11am – 5pm, and on Saturdays during exhibits from 1 – 4pm.
